Torres, Jumarie

Jumarie Torres, born on January 13, 1977 in Puerto Rico, the first child of Junior Rodriguez and Maria C. Santiago. She graduated from the Francisco Zayas Santana High School as an Honor student obtaining a 4.0 GPA and a diploma in office clerk.  Jumarie started the accountancy career at the University of Puerto Rico and after two semesters she decided she wanted to obtain a degree in Medical Secretarial, which she completed sometime after at the Ponce Paramedical College from which she graduated as a summa cum laude student in 1998. After four years working as a Medical Secretary and Office Administrator she and her family looking to explore new horizons moved to the State of Maryland.

Jumarie is the mother of two children, Ricardo J. Torres and Jonaily Torres and a state licensed child care provider. After four consecutive years being home full time raising her two children, she decided to get certified by the state of MD as a childcare provider and started her own family day care home where she can provide professional and quality care services to other families.
